A creative director is the person whos oversees a team involved with the creative works of a company. Ultimately, creative directors are responsible for the quality of work executed by a creative team, all the way from the start to the completion of a project.

More than anything else, a creative director should have a personality and a set of interests that extend beyond their field of work. This is because a creative director needs to have a constant source of inspiration and the desire to explore in order to be a great leader for a team of other creatives. This will help them in coming up with groundbreaking ideas and guiding other artists within the company to do the same.

To become a creative director, it will most likely take years of experience. The person who is offered the role can be described as someone who is manipulative, single-minded and the most difficult individual in the company. While this may seem like a flaw, a creative director often garners a lot of respect from the people they work with. All types of ideas and input are welcomed and valued by creative directors, and they will always be prepared to provide fair, unbiased, and constructive criticism.
